Hardware

The Information Technology Office for the Department of Physics and Astronomy at BYU (PandA Tech Office) is available to assist with a wide variety of hardware issues. If you encounter an issue with hardware whether it be in a computer lab, research lab, graduate student office or faculty office, please either visit us in person or reach out to our office! Our office hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday through Friday in room N337 ESC.

Accessories

We have the peripherals, cables, and adapters that you need to learn and thrive here at BYU.
We stock common peripherals, cables, and adapters that are available for use with physical computers in our laboratories and offices. If you need to checkout something for a day or two, we are happy to loan it to you. If you need something for more than a couple days, we will get it ordered on your behalf.

Checkout Laptops

We have a limited inventory of both Windows and Apple laptops in our office available for short-term check-out. If you need specific specifications, please visit us! If that's not an option, contact us. Long-term checkouts are available at no cost through the BYU Surplus Department.

Replacement Computers

Pursuant to university policies, all computers and computer equipment must be purchased through our office. Depending upon your specific needs we will recommend either an Apple, Dell, Lenovo, or other specialty vendor. Please let us know what your needs are and we will work with you to meet your needs.
